Housing Instability on Immigrant Populations in Southern California

This project aims to look at the effects of housing instability (overcrowding, issues playing rent) has had on immigrant populations in Southern California. The lack of affordable housing in Southern California has created a housing crisis. The housing crisis has negatively affected the immigrant communities, resulting in housing instability like rising rent costs, overcrowding, poor housing quality, and even homelessness.

Through surveys and interviews with immigrants in Southern California who are facing housing instability, the project examines the housing experiences of migrants and the long-term effects it has on well-being. This project hopes to make the connection between housing and health.
